My family and I stopped here on the way home to Ohio after a trip to Michigan. We arrived around 12:30 on a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed. We concluded this must be a local after-church favorite. The wait wasn't too bad - probably about 15 or 20 minutes. We grabbed a couple of the carry-out menus to look them over. It was a tough choice, because the dishes all sounded delicious. Out of the five of us, three of us got the pork tenderloin sandwich, and we all agreed that it was absolutely delicious. One of us got the breaded chicken sandwich, and she said it was fantastic, and made with "real" (not pressed) chicken. My husband got the chicken strips, and they, too were made with real chicken and were very tasty. Our waitress was very friendly. She was also very attentive at first, but then toward the end of our meal, it was hard to get her attention. We had asked her about the pies, but she dropped our bills off at the table without seeing if we wanted anything else and it was difficult to get her back to the table. Rather than trying one of the pies, I opted for the $1 dessert special they were having that day, which was the cheesecake. It was very good. I thought it might be a small piece, since it was only $1, but it was actually a full piece. Nice to have a special like that. Two others in my family tried pie, and enjoyed them very much. I got a taste of the chocolate cream pie and it was indeed yummy. One more thing. The prices are RIDICULOUS!! And I mean that in the best possible way. I felt like we were taking advantage of their kindness!

Bland food, but at a good price. Breakfast anytime is besg meal on the menu. Very old patrons go here everyday.

Delicious! Thought we were going to be stuck in fast food hell, until we happened upon this little spot off the highway. My husband had a giant meal that he loved and I had a grilled cheese (my favorite). The best part, however, was the pie. Our waitress said about seven different pies and said they were "a bit light on pies tonight." The pumpkin and peanut butter cream were great. I hope to be back to try the cherry at some point :)

Standard diner fare, with 'down home' daily specials. I tried the BLT with a side of lima beans; nothing too fancy. Was VERY happy with the pie, though! Sour cherry!! When I asked, I was told they make them all on 'the farm' and bring them in. Whatever farm it is supplying those pies gets my vote! Overall, cheap hearty diner food. Give it a try!

Have returned here several times since initial review (for breakfasts, lunches, and dinners) and the food and service continue to be outstanding. Wanted to let you know that the full breakfast menu is only available until 11 AM though, but its worth it to make it there during a weekday to get some of the special items served from that menu (the skillets are very good!) The wife and I have both tried several items from the lunch / dinner menus and wife has had several of their "daily specials" and we have yet to find anything that didn't meet our expectations. One thing that I really like about the place is the "salad bar" (not just salads, but slaw, pudding, beans, etc., you get the idea, its very varied!) Wife loves to go there most weeks after church as their foods are very tasty, service is impeccable, and desserts are awesome to boot! I think if you want something that is not fast food, this place should be on your short-list of places to go for American foods.
